Emerging Market and Opportunities
Ravata’s primary goal is to bring a diagnostic for embryo selection prior to embryo transfer into human applications. In 2022 the total market size was projected to be $21.2B of which Ravata intends to target $1.01B domestically. The main challenge in pursuit of this goal is the rather arduous FDA approval process for which substantial safety and efficacy data would be required.¹
To this end, Ravata is initially marketing its capabilities in various smaller and emerging markets with substantially similar needs but limited regulatory barriers. In total, this market opportunity comprises over $340M for Ravata. At current Ravata has several pilots with industry and academic partners to evaluate the system for custom applications ranging from simple process automation to selection of cells for improved pregnancy outcomes.
Areas of interest where Ravata is further exploring implementing its technology include the use of cloning for reproduction, companion animal IVF, extinct animal restoration, endangered animal repopulation, and artificial egg grading. Each of these areas has significant industry and financial backing with the capability of being independently disruptive to the IVF community. Ravata intends to align itself with these technological pioneers and integrate our embryo quality control technology into their processes. What Ravata offers to this end is standardization and reproducibility which is often unattainable in the manually demanding field of IVF.
