Human Application Progress

Over the last few months, Ravata has developed and stress-tested various automation and sensing applications. Currently, we have a robust system for automated training data collection which is the first step in our pilots and implementing sorting. With the data generated from pilots, Ravata can automate the sorting of large volumes of cells.

Human applications however required individually labeled and tracked embryos for which Ravata has recently accomplished the development of a valved microfluidic which would enable the isolation, grading, and tracking of individual embryos enabling clinics to freeze cells and still track the quality at a later date. The chip works by pneumatically actuating valves that re-direct the flow of liquid and cells into as many as 16 different channels. The gif below demonstrates how one valve can be sealed and unsealed on command.

In this vein of development, Ravata has also submitted its second patent application which covers more details regarding the implementation of sensing for cell viability selection on the chip.

106th Annual CCA/CCW Convention

Last week, Ravata had the opportunity to travel to Reno NV for the annual California Cattlemen's Association Convention. We presented a poster on the research behind Ravata’s Cell Sorting Platform and connected with cattlemen from across the nation. The feedback from our customers’ customers, the ranchers themselves, has helped validate our go-to-market approach and where the need is largest. Conversations initiated at this conference will be fruitful in ensuring we can provide our customers with products that will generate the highest return for their customers and them.

Interested in a Pilot?

Ravata Solutions has overcome a range of productization challenges to scale its deployment of devices to customers and academic partners. We are now ready to begin assessing embryo quality on-site across the country! Contact us here to receive more information on the Pilot and check out our website for more information.

Embryologist Input Wanted!

We are surveying the assisted reproduction landscape to identify the needs of embryologists, lab techs, and directors nationwide regardless of the mammalian species they work with. Please help us gain traction in this endeavor by forwarding our survey to anyone you believe fits the demographic. Survey results will be shared with respondents and via newsletter!
